Alianza Barlovento operates two shipyards strategically located on the Paraguay River, with the capacity to simultaneously handle up to 12 vessels across a 13-hectare infrastructure and approximately 250 meters of operational waterfront in constant expansion.
All our welding procedures are approved by classification societies Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) and RINA (Registro Italiano Navale), under IACS Recommendation No. 47 standards.
Our naval welders and fitters hold international qualifications, and all materials used in construction and repair are steel plates certified to ASTM A131 standard.
We build and repair vessels adapted to the specific conditions of the Paraguayan waterway — draft fluctuations, large-scale convoy maneuvering and the need for immediate technical response — both in dry-dock and afloat.

01.
Shipbuilding & Conversion
We build and convert tugboats, barges, sand dredgers, dredges, workboats, floating cranes and multipurpose vessels, tailored to the operational demands of the Paraguayan waterway. We have an in-house engineering team and naval design tools (AutoCAD, Maxsurf, Rhino) for the full development of shipbuilding and conversion projects.

Naval Repair
We carry out general hull and structural repairs, including disassembly and repair of shaft lines, propellers, rudders, bushings and valves, both in dry-dock and afloat, under IACS Recommendation No. 47 standards.

Blasting & Painting
We apply sandblasting and certified naval coating enamels, ensuring structural protection and long-term durability for every vessel we service.

Naval Engineering
We have an in-house engineering department for the full development of shipbuilding and conversion projects. Our engineers use specialized software (AutoCAD, Maxsurf, Rhino) and work in compliance with the standards of the leading classification societies — DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s Register, RINA and ClassNK — ensuring technical precision and regulatory compliance on every project.
