Alianza Barlovento is a river shipping company with more than 15 years of operation on the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway, based in Asunción at Km 1633 of the Paraguay River. We serve national and international shipowners as a shipping agency and mooring facility.
We operate 3 towboats and more than 80 barges, with a Shore-Base model and know-how in restricted waters, which gives us operational autonomy and a competitive cost structure across the Waterway.

Towboats from 1,000 to 1,700 HP for port movements and convoy make-up, with more than 600,000 tons transported per year.

San Gabriel mooring facility, ISPS Level 1 certified, with 1,320 meters of riverfront and round-the-clock security.

Social responsibility is part of Alianza Barlovento’s operating model. We work to reduce our environmental impact in accordance with the MARPOL Convention and the environmental license granted by MADES, and we comply with national and international regulations governing navigation on the Waterway.
This commitment extends to our people and our surroundings. We create skilled jobs in Paraguayan river transport and support the development of the communities where we operate. The safety of our crews and shore personnel is a daily requirement.
