More than 15 years
writing the river’s
history.

From our origins to our most notable milestones.

2010

Foundation

Alianza Barlovento was founded with a clear vision: to provide specialized shipbuilding and naval maintenance services on the Paraguay-Paraná waterway, meeting the technical demands of one of South America’s most strategic river corridors.

2016

Construction of the ÁRASY

Construction of a harbor tugboat designed for towing operations between local ports, barge loading and unloading, vessel custody and convoy assembly.

2019

Construction of the ÁRASY 2.0

After years of harbor operations, the Harbor Tugboat ÁRASY underwent a comprehensive structural transformation that expanded its operational capabilities. Reinforced in beam, depth and power, the ÁRASY 2.0 evolved from a harbor tugboat into a cabotage tugboat, acquiring the capacity to tow nine loaded Mississippi-type barges on long-range river navigation.
