Alianza Barlovento is based on the Paraguayan section of the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway, an area of constant traffic. Our base at Km 1633 of the Paraguay River, in Asunción, offers constant natural depth all year round, even during low-water periods.
Compared with other countries in the region, Paraguay offers more competitive operating costs and tax burden, with international quality standards.

Our Own Fleet
More than 80 Mississippi-type barges and 3 towboats. Total dynamic capacity: 60,000 tons. Convoys of up to 12 barges (21,250 t) with a single 2 × 818 HP towboat.

Proven Track Record
More than 15 years of operation on the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway, with close to 600,000 tons transported per year.

Year-Round Draft
Operating base at Km 1633 of the Paraguay River, Bay of Asunción, with constant natural depth all year round, and a 1,320-meter barge fleeting and mooring facility.

Shore-Base Model
A support base where shipowners can centralize their logistics and fleet mooring in a single location, reducing towing times and barge movements. Within the premises, we offer build-to-suit warehouses, industrial buildings and offices for exclusive use.

Maneuvering Autonomy
Towboats for towing and convoy make-up. Clients do not depend on third parties to move their barges within the service area.
